Anticipatory Grief

Sometimes we know a loss is coming and we begin to grieve even before we lose a loved one to death. This happens often when a family member has a terminal diagnosis such as cancer, or perhaps with illnesses that gradually incapacitate a loved one, such as Alzheimer’s. Many caregivers and family members can benefit from the support and psychoeducation offered by regular counseling sessions during this stressful time. Please contact me for more information or to discuss this option.
